Can you hear squealing when you brake? Is your vehicle pulling to one side?
Does your steering wheel shake?
If you’re experiencing any of these problems, then its time you visited us.
The condition of your brakes is something that cannot be legally tested during a WoF besides the stopping distance they provide as your wheels cannot be removed during that test.
Brakes are something that should always be repaired or replaced immediately.
We can check for:
- Splits in brake hoses
- Rusty brake pipes
- Leaks in the sealed system.
Your break repairs will only be completed with premium products that guarantee you get more driving distance from your pads and less noise.
Cheap brake pads last only a third as long, are noisy, prone to squealing and cover the wheels in brake dust.
We also understand the significance of checking brake fluid and the impact driving styles can have on its longevity.
If you live in a hilly area, or find yourself in peak hour traffic regularly, the constant breaking can cause brake fluid to boil and thin out. This is what is commonly referred to as ‘Brake Fade’. Once this has happened you will need to have your brake fluid replaced.
Brake fluid also absorbs water, which once it enters your car’s braking system can rust everything – a great reason to replace it regularly!
We recommend this replacement should be carried out every 2 years at a minimum.
You will be advised on the condition of your brakes as part of a routine service, and you’ll be pleased to know we offer full brake machining in our workshop.
You will find Auto Super Shoppe Papakura mechanical services particularly convenient if you live or work around the following areas:
Did you know: Heavy braking use can attract moisture into the brake fluid, which can lead to ‘brake fade’. We recommend replacing brake fluid at least every two years.
